The Times Online's specialist reporter, Harriet Long, has recently produced an article on her experiences of organising a hen party for an old school friend.
Having been asked to be the maid-of-honour, Harriet also discovered that she would be the organiser for the hen do, too! With no previous experience of hen parties, she set about asking friends for advice:
"The reaction from most was scare stories of town centre calamities, exclusive nightclub guest lists leaving hens stranded with nowhere to party and horrific drunken accidents. One friend advised me to 'never, never assume that the hen will want a stripper'.
The stripper she had organised succeeded in bringing her bride-to-be to tears with his over-active dance routine. Wise words indeed, and I was determined to make my maid-of-honour duties a success."
Despite all the worrying tales and scary stories, Harriet managed to create and organise a wonderful hen do that went without a hitch!
