Get Sloshed - 12 Delicious Cocktail Recipies

You might think booze is booze is booze, and that you're more than happy with a six-pack of Stella and some Jacob's Creek. But come on, girls, this is hen time, and there are only two booze options: champagne and cocktails.

Both these drinks can go to your head with fearsome speed, so make sure you've got plenty of stomach-lining snacks to hand. And as a pre-emptive strike, swot up on hangover cures at our hen night survival guide. Meanwhile here's a rundown of our favourite tipples to make a hen party go with a swinging burp...

1 Champagne
Essential. Nuff said.

2 Little Red Teddy
Hen cocktails don't come better than this. Ingredients: 750 ml champagne, 16 oz cranberry juice and 4 oz Cointreau. Chill all the ingredients and combine in a large punchbowl or pitcher. Serve immediately.

3 Screaming Orgasm
Ooh, baby. Ingredients: equal measures Kahlua, Irish cream, Amaretto and vodka. Add ice and shake well.

4 Cosmopolitan Classic
Pink and perky. Ingredients: 3/4 oz vodka, 1/2 oz triple sec, 1 oz cranberry juice and 1/2 oz lime juice. Shake well and serve with a cute stripy straw.

5 Black Lace
The undies, not the 80s pop morons. Ingredients: two measures Black Sambuca, one measure each of Creme de Banana and peach schnapps, and the juice of half a lemon. Empty everything into a shaker filled with ice and shake well. Strain into chilled cocktail glasses.

6 Silk Stockings
Smooth and spicy. Ingredients: one and a half measures each of tequila and single cream, one measure of Creme de Cacao and a dash of Grenadine. Shake everything with crushed ice, strain into cocktail glasses and sprinkle cinnamon on top.

7 Between the Sheets
There's a theme developing here... Ingredients: three measures of passionfruit juice, one measure Bacardi and half a measure each of Cognac and lime juice. Shake well and serve on the rocks with a slice of lime and a cherry.

8 Wedding Belle
This one's a 1940s vintage. Ingredients: one measure each of orange juice and cherry brandy, three measures each of dry gin and Dubonnet. Stir well with ice and strain into cocktail glasses.

9 Satin Sheets
Luxurious in the extreme. Ingredients: equal measures of light rum and brandy, and a splash each of Cointreau and lime juice. Shake well with ice.

10 Purple Knickers
Naughtier than it looks. Ingredients: two measures of vodka, one measure each of triple sec, pineapple juice and grape juice. Shake well with ice.

11 Maiden's Blush
Maiden? As if. Ingredients: three measures of dark rum, two measures of red grapefruit juice (freshly squeezed if possible), 3 tsp sugar and a dash of bitters. Squeeze the juice of one lime into a shaker filled with ice, add the other ingredients and shake well.

12 Love Punch
Make a bucketful and go bobbing for apples... Ingredients: 150 ml lemon juice, 150ml pineapple juice, 75 ml triple sec, 300 ml brandy, 150 ml Grenadine, one bottle of dry white wine and two bottles of champagne. Mix all the ingredients except the champagne in a punch bowl with ice. Add the champagne just before serving. This recipe makes about 30 glasses, so no hogging it just because you're the bride.
